Richard, I hope you are lurking. I need to repair my Oyster Blue K7. We have discussed this a long time ago. I have waited for stable weather with no rain. Now I am ready to re-tile my K7. I need some extra tiles. I have hairline cracks under where the Oyster Blue tiles came off in sheets. Do you recommend M63 or thinset for re=tiling or both?
Hope to hear from you soon. I have phoned you also.

I have also tried to contact Kamado both by email as well as phone regarding tile repair details for my K7. Thus far, I have had no response. I have waited for stable weather to deal with this project. I have been incredibly busy converting my garden to self watering and am in progress installing a turnkey automatic rainwater gravity supplied watering system controlled by an electric control valve/timer. Now I am free enough to tackle the K7 tile repair.

Bix, the telephone numbers above are current. Although I am most often dealing with production matters and not in the office, I will be happy to assist with your tiling repair. I have given myself a big time "refresher course" in tiling (new Kamados) and I am sure you will find it easy and effective.
If you can, it is best to email me: richardj@kamado.com |
Production matters? Like what, mass producing of the #11? |

It's probably Bix'es fault. He has the watering system keeping the K wet all the time. |

I am still waiting for my M63D or a tracking #. Since I ordered the M63D from Nevada-one state away, I have ordered and have installed 3 major appliances, had a new cabinet built from scratch, had a gas line reconfigured as well as dryer vent relocated into outside wall. My refrigerator had a dent so I had it replaced. I filled out around 5 rebate forms from separate entities and programs. I got all the materials including Oyster Blue tiles in preparatation for the retiling job on my K7. All these things were accomplished within the time of my M63D order which still hasn't arrived.
I also ordered an Apple Macbook Pro laptop computer that had to be built up to my specifications for my daughter's graduation present for completion of the MBA program at UCLA. I ordered a camera from the East Coast for my son-in-law as a 5 year anniversary gift.
All the aforementioned were ordered and received after the M63D order.ordered and received

Here's how I see it ending.
Richard will finally order some more of the stuff he calls m63d. He pays $5 per lb and sells it for $35 per lb. He'll send it to Bix and Bix will be back in praise mode. I just hope I'm wrong. |

Another $30 of pure profit that RJ and the girls can go spend in the buffet line at the casinos. That is if they don't blow it on slots before they get to the buffet. |
