This was apparently just deleted:
Post by Dogrange:
"I know that you are not supposed to post customer service stuff here, but I'm desperate. My top damper (cobalt tile #7, purchased 2005) has completely crumbled away, making my K unusable. I need a replacement top damper. Over the last 2-1/2 months I've called Kamado at least 1X per week, left many voice messages, sent many emails, with no response. I don't know what else I can do, so maybe someone on this board has an extra top damper (wishful thinking). I need a new lumpsaver and would like to buy a left side folding table as well, but I really REALLY need a response from Kamado. Any suggestions? " |

Hmmm, seems like Admin wants to show off his/her spelling and grammar skills:

This is a huge milestone...they are finally admitting deleting service requests, in favor of ignoring them and sweeping them under the rug. The next step is deleting the guys account, and pretending he never existed. |

Mine did too. I sent photos to Kamado and they replaced it under warranty. |
Well there you have it. The K company has a glorious history of warranty support. Nothing to worry about, Dogrange. Surely your experience is an anomaly. Just keep emailing and calling. |

He's posting from Chicago, and I can tell him why the Chinese Hat gave out. Improper shut downs in Winter.

Well there you have it. It's the customer's fault. |

My #3 Top damper has been MIA since May of last year, seems it's always on the next slow boat! |

Some Kamado owners have successfully mixed components from different manufacturers. Kamado Corp was happy that I was able to repair my Kamado on my own; I'm sure that they'd be equally happy to see customers use alternate part sources, when convenient.
In this case, asking for warranty replacement is the most convenient option, but there are always other options. |
They LOVE not hearing from you, ain't that the truth? And yup, my KK spin-top was an outstanding upgrade to my Krumbly-K!

These may not last through the night. Even BobinFla finally takes his shot at Kamado! Maybe they don't answer because they are running out of lies and excuses. The last excuse of production delays was a cover for the fact that their employees quit when they did not get paid. Or they can't get supplies because they owe suppliers money. Are the buzzards circling?
Perhaps they need theHandler to intervene....wan't he the one that said they always answer the phone for him? or was it thePidler? anyone remember?

I recognize this cooker, however for a brief moment I thought Syzgies might have taken a sabbatical to retile his K7. No offense to Syzygies, I enjoyed his subtle post. |
