Selling charcoal on ebay |
|
|
|
My how things have changed. This stuff used to be sold-out before it was even manufactured. Since there doesnt seem to be much demand anymore, and certainly not the frenzy there once was to get this junk, RJ has decided to try and unload it box by box on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110201090487
So far, only one poor soul has purchased.
BTW, isn't it nice that Kamado.com can maintain positive feedback on ebay...likely because it is from 2003! |

My feed back from 2001 is listed when I purchased a #7. The purchase was no problem. Won the item and it was shipped.
The problem came four years later when it cracked and getting the LIFETIME WARRANTY honored. That took 8 months of BS before I received the replacement. Pictures posted in Hall of Shame , Cracks in K.
Sold the replacement. Brought a Deluxe OTB and been a Happy Camper. |

They are also selling two Kamados (#5 & #7) in separate auctions... and using a photo of my #7 loaded up with butts & brisket! |

Mighty nice of them, since they kicked your account out of their clubhouse, isn't it! |

Buy Big to Save Big! |

Now on Ebay you can buy the Kkoal by the pallet! Fortunately for the uninformed when you scroll down to the shipping quote, there were no shipping companies for my area(Chicago). This tool almost sucked me in to sell this junk for him. Sounds like you may be better off making your own out of playdoh and fireplace ashes! |

I notice they don't take paypal! I guess to use paypal you have to have a valid bank account, and RJ probably has to change banks every 30 days, LMAO! |

Perhaps just wishful thinking, but I predict the coming END of Kamado.
10 pallets available? Looks like desperate times in RJ-Scamville.... |

They don't hold up very well. I have a top as a birdbath holder and a bottom as side table. Both are cracked. They will not last much longer. The bad part is they will even cost me more money to haul to the DUMP, not covered in the LIFETIME WARRANTY. |

Thought I would post this as I am skeptical how long it might last on the k forum: Once again they have only themselves to blame for 'losing' the klump opportunity. The Kompany didn't pay Santana and then they started trying to get cheaper product and think no one would be the wiser. And then he blames the messenger (NakedWhiz) for revealing the truth. As the Kamado Turns.

What was it that bothered you ? I looked over their Ebay feedback and did not notice anything that would scare me away.

Well, it was the most recent feedback that said:
"Fast shipping! Bad charcoal."
That, and the latest review. I guess I just don't understand what happened here.
