Southbark and others, you are encouraged to use the Kamado Forum to meet and communicate among yourself charcoal pallet consolidation. However, it is a little overwhelming for us to manage this phase of the distribution and still keep the total price as low as possible. We have a nice inventory of Kamado Extruded Coconut (KEC) and can ship within 2 days of the order.
We can now ship charcoal from our warehouse in Mexico which helps reduce the costs. All types of charcoal are from the Kamado Factory in Indonesia and therefore are carefully inspected for quality before boxed. The trucking costs are the same for shipping 10 boxes as 20 boxes so we suggest to our customers to purchase a minimum of 20 boxes. There is an additional savings by purchasing more boxes but not quite the same savings. Total cost including shipping to Sacramento would be under $15.00 per 16.5 pound KEC box which would be the equivalent of well over 20 pounds of other quality charcoal that costs as much or more in stores.
Thanks, Tony |
Why is it that "Tony" is using the Admin ID? This ID is registered to Richard Johnson. Is "Tony" unable to get his own ID? The administrators of the board are very very adept at deleting users within minutes of seeing any post they don't like. So why can't they give "Tony" an ID of his own? Well, because there is no "Tony". "Tony" is a pretend customer service representative. About the only people working anymore are Richard and his daughter Laura.
Oh, and of course, the bit about the charcoal being the equivalent of over 20 pounds of other quality charcoal, well that is just pure horsesh*t. Read the Naked Whiz review of the Kamado charcoal that comes from Indonesia. It is some of the shortest-burning charcoal ever reviewed. Buying 16.5 pounds (if the box isn't underweight like most of them are) of Richard's crap is like buying about 6 or 7 pounds of quality charcoal. Well, actually, it is like buying 16.5 pounds of crap. You can't really compare it to quality charcoal. Kamado coconut molded briquettes (they aren't extruded) are about the worst value in the charcoal world. |
