The latest scam

Hi Folks
After a silence of over 6 months I get this email:
Beware!
Quote:
Dear David :

At the time of your order all our manufacturing was done in Indonesia . We
fully anticipated that we could meet the anticipated delivery dates. All
deposits or funds received from customers were sent to Indonesia , and in
fact much more, to complete and fully pay for the manufacturing cost and
shipping fees to the port. We have not received the orders for the last two
containers that we have paid for. Your order could have been on this
container or was supposed to be on the next container that was never sent
from Indonesia . We continue our efforts to obtain product we have paid for
but to date we have been unsuccessful. We severed our relationship with
Indonesia .

The Indonesian venture has created financial burden for us and a regrettable
delay in you receiving your order. The good news is we are doing the entire
manufacturing process in our own facility in the USA . The new facility
"set up" has been expensive and time consuming but completed and today we
are turning out the highest quality Kamado's we have ever made. At this
time our production rate is very slow with our first priority being quality
and making the "best bbq cooker in the world". You can rest assured that we
can and will fulfill every order and as fast as reasonably possible.

As you might have noticed, we have increased our prices to reflect the cost
of the improvements, material increases and manufacturing of the Kamado in
America . The new pricing allows sufficient profit for us to complete your
order without the necessity of depending upon external financing, even if
funds were made available.

The new U.S. made Kamado's improvements and Richard's personal involvement
in the manufacture of every Kamado assures your complete satisfaction.
Richard looks forward to following up this email with details of the
improvements we are making today, especially the high temperature ceramic
material available here and the Richard's many years of refractory
formulation experience that results a far superior Kamado.

We realize that any meal not Kooked in your Kamado is an irreparable loss,
but one thing is for sure.. your first Kook will remove the inconvenience
and pain the delay has caused you. There is absolutely no grill, cooker or
barbeque that can compare to a Kamado and its thick ceramic walls.

It is very difficult to express how much we all here appreciate your
patience and look forward to your having a lifetime of enjoyment of fine
Kooking.

Sincerely,

Richard Johnson and all of us at Kamado

There seems to be nothing sincere about him, and he had the cheek to send me another account!
Regards
Davidmk

What the hell? Is he going to ask you to pay more?

Ugh.

Well, RJ is famous for receiving things he hasn't paid for. I think it much more likely he received 2 containers and didn't pay THEM so they severed ties with HIM. That is his M.O.

RJ does not front money.

Richard didn't write this letter! I recognize his writing. Notice how they speak of richard in third person! Your right David there isn't anything sincere about him! I wonder if he's even alive. They seem to be propping him up like weekend at Bernies. Shocked

I recognize the writing too!

richelle you should be ashamed! Embarassed

I might add they are clearly becoming more desperate in asking an already unhappy kustomer for more kash! Rolling Eyes

Thanks for sharing that David.

I tell you, nothing is going to stop this scam short of legal action by the feds. He has an answer for everything. That is, if he is still alive. Makes you wonder if he croaked and the girls have him in the freezer and haven't reported his death. The public would no doubt wonder who could make this wondrous cookers without Richard's personal involvement in each and every one.

And that BS about the first meal washing away the tears and pain. Oh for the love of humanity.....

A freezer requires electricity. That's both expensive and unreliable if they're having problems paying routine bills.

But coarsely ground cremains could substitute for crushed lava and guarantee RJ's continued personal involvement.

Surely the man is getting many checks from the government, medicare, Soc Sec, food stamps, stimulus money...whatever. The girls will not report his death for many years to come with that kinda extra income.

Its the same old story about how he was done wrong in one country so had to start up again in another and how burdensome it is on them. Its getting old RJ, if it's so burdensome stop screwing your workers and your suppliers. How many times can you use this as an excuse to turn around and screw your customers. You're a horrible business person and your girls are even worse, not to mention your all crooks so stop with the sob stories already. No one is buying them anymore.

I predict that if he lives long enough, he will say within a year or two that American workers are lazy, demand too much pay, and make krap kookers. He is therefore moving his production to India where the workers are cheap, but skilled and motivated. He will announce a special shipping arrangement that will allow him to deliver his kookers to the US cheaper than ever before.

This announcement will come about 6 months before he announces that his production is moving to the US because that is the only place he can find motivated skilled workers.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Did I mention, repeat?

He actually responds to a poster talking about overpriced KK cookers and says they (KK) are not overpriced but their (Kamado) better cookers are underpriced.
