Our price for Kamado Extruded Coconut Charcoal (KEC) is $7.99 per 16.5 box fob San Diego and $7.99 per approximately 10 pound box of Kamado Tamarind Lump Charcoal. These is our lowest wholesale price and a price that will allow a fair retail price throughout the USA, even after shipping costs ARE included. Our volume of shipping has given us excellent shipping discounts, which we in turn are all passed on to our customers. The key to savings is in the total pallet weight or number of boxes shipped. It gets very expensive to ship less than 15 boxes, but less expensive to ship 30 boxes, with a very good rate over 60 boxes per pallet and an excellent rate over 90 boxes. We can now ship directly from our Indonesian factory to many major cities throughout the USA. Our office can obtain shipping costs online and provide you with shipping and total costs by email. We sometimes have to obtain the best rates from more than one freight carrier and for this reason it is best to obtain this time consuming information by email rather than tying up your (and our) telephone lines. We look forward to providing shipping quotes, helping organize customer consolidation of pallet orders and working with “Charcoal Kaptains”.

Prices are subject to change without notice anytime before order is received.
This is from TropicalCharcoal.com This is very odd? Look at the date. Doesn't he even update his own charcoal site. Is it still 7.99? Notice how he tries to sell more by telling them about the excellent rate for over 90 boxes. The more you buy the more you save. And what's this about tying up telephone lines? His email, fax and telephone (he only has 1) never work anyway. Maybe he's on a broken blackberry at the casino bar/buffet. The Kustomers have a better chance of getting hold of him by smoke signal! Ripoff Report Verified Safe
They sold me a box of coconut charcoal through ebay. The ad said that the box was a special price so you could try the charcoal for yourself before you placed a big order. The ad said you could try the charcoal and then return it if you didn't like it for a full refund. I tried the charcoal and it was awful stuff. It was NOTHING like the charcoal they described in the ad. It didn't even look like the charcoal in their ad.

When I tried to return it they said I had to pay return shipping and that I had to return the entire box of charcoal! I asked them how the heck was I supposed to try the charcoal if I had to return all of it to get a refund. They then said that I'd have to return all of it except for 3 or 4 pieces. They said that their charcoal was so good you only needed 3 or 4 pieces to tell how good it is. Ever try to cook a chicken on 3 or 4 pieces of charcoal? They refused to refund my money since I had used more than 3 or 4 pieces. Also, they said I would have to pay return shipping! The shipping to return the charcoal was more than the refund I would have gotten. So, they refused to honor their guarantee. They added new conditions to their 'guarantee' after I bought the charcoal.

So my complaint is that these guys pulled a bait and switch by selling different charcoal than what they advertised, and their money back guarantee is nothing more than a lie since they won't let you use the charcoal and make you pay return shipping.

I'm not sure which one of us is GeorgeW. But I thought this report should be posted here. Hey didn't they also claim that if you are not satisfied with your kooker (like the charcoal) they would buy it back for what ever the kustomer paid. And as far as the " Bait & Switch" Heck! RJ's the originator of that! Laughing
