Have had my Cobalt Blue Kamado for almost nine years now. Has had typical wear and tear with seal and tiles. But the other day I was sliding out the draft door and the opening started to crumble away and bracket that holds the door/w gas in place, popped out along with chunks of the Kamado. Is this fixable? if so how? Or am I done with it??

So, even the so-called "Sacramento" vintage K's eventually crumble into oblivion. Can't think of any other manufacturer's cooker in which the basic cooking shell crumbles, even after 9 years, with normal use.

My Sacramento #7 has the same problem. The bracket came out years ago. When I was still using it, I just shoved the bracket back in and propped it up with a rock.
