Richard,
How come you've removed my last two
posts from the forum?
One was a two year update on my
kamado. Nothing was said that warranted deletion.
And the
last one was some constructive criticism. Instead of deleting them
you could have responded. That would have been a bit more
politically correct.
In fact, now I'm not so sure about your
integrity. I hope I'm wrong as I really like my Kamado, and hope to
someday upgrade.
Can you help me understand?
Thanks,
Peter

Peter, I have asked to please contact us directly with
service questions and issues and not on the Forum. I am and asked
others in our Company to MOVE all these posts directly to us.
Please email me and I will attempt to help you understand
why I am asking for this favor.
Thanks |

Richard and Company...
I hope you understand that
there are other, (and more widely read), public forums where
discussions about the Kamado Company, its products and customer
service issues are frequently discussed.
Simply gagging your
customers on this forum will do nothing to resolve your [very real]
service related problems.
In my experience, most, (if not
all), of the negative posts on this forum have been a result of you
abysmal failure to respond to phone calls and e-mails.

I applaud the move to keep customer service issues on the
back channels. Why would any company in any industry want to keep
malicious posts about their customer service performance on their
own forum? Brewhawk, I don’t understand how is it possible to “gag
your customers’ voice” if there are “other more widely read public
forums” discussing the same issues. That’s why those forums exist,
so people can go get an un-filtered opinion for themselves. If
service is as bad as the very vocal minority has been saying, then
sooner or later orders will drop off and K Co. will have to adapt or
perish.
I could go on about how I don’t seem to have any
problems getting responses, or how I don’t doubt that others are
having real problems, but I’d rather see this forum move in a more
positive direction. The topic is called The Kampfire, not The
Whinery.
BTW my #1 and #7 arrived, more on that later.

Are you an idiot as well as a sycophant?
Of
course it is impossible to "gag" your customers when there are
other, (more widely read), forums available. That is my point. IT is
pointless to gag them here.
It's ok to "whine" as you put
it, when you are ignored and/or lied to repeatedly.
I don't
care what YOU think the purpose of this forum is... you have posted
here for what?.... a few months.
I made a number of valid
points in my last post and you, (much like the Kamado company
itself), addressed none of them.
Kamado's commitment to
customer satisfaction is a myth. I have been lied to so many times
by the employees of this company that I would be an idiot to ever
deal with them again.
I bet most of you will never see this
thread

Hawk lighten up. Take your meds. I've been on here for
one day and can see your way out of line. |

Hawk:
If you hate (your) Kamado so much, why keep
going with them?
Some of us love our K's. Other hate them
either because of product problems or service issues, or for yet
some other reason. Take your business and issues elsewhere if you
don't like it here or with Kamado Corp. If you have a K that you
can't get satisfation with, I'm sure there's someone who'll take it
off your hands and end your misery. The 'other forums' (mentioned
vaguely above) will, I'm sure, provide you with competitor products
which will more than meet your needs and make you happy.

You know, now that I think about it, there's just some
people who won't be happy no matter how good they have it. His
home brew beer is probably bitter too.

Interesting that Brewhawk chooses to keep his identity
and location hidden - neither appears in his (her) profile. Why
should we give credence to any anonymous
complaints? |

Brewhawk,
I will remind you of some of the forum
rules, that you've agreed to when you requested a forum account.
quote:
2. Civility and Courtesy: All members, by their participation,
agree to maintain high levels of civility and courtesy toward
other members. Understanding that "Civility and Courtesy" mean
different things to different people, members agree to accept the
standards exemplified by the editing, locking, and/or deletion
actions of the forum Administrator, Manager, and/or Moderators
Calling someone an idiot is not acceptable.
quote:
5. Justification: First, this site is
maintained/managed/moderated by selected VOLUNTEERS in their spare
time. The total dollar value of their time commitment to this site
runs into the six figures, for which you are not required to pay
one single cent in order to enjoy this community. Second,
explanation for editing or deletion of any post, or the closing or
deletion of any thread, may be requested off-line. Such
justification is not guaranteed to the inquirer. However, if
offered it is as a courtesy, for educational purposes, and/or to
ensure that whatever the cause will not be repeated. No further
off-line discussion or contact will be entertained. Online topics
related to forum Administrator, Manager and Moderator actions, are
not allowed except in the forum Issues and Support forum, and are
subject to the same civility and courtesy rules as all other
discussions.
Please take any discussions about the
administration of this forum to email or phone calls.
The
full guidelines are located here
Thanks all.

Richard,
Make it fair for both sides.
What do you do when you call and email dozens of times
without any response? Is there a proper time to send it to the
public forum. Maybe there should be a rule. I.e., if someone calls
'x' number of time and/or emails 'x' number of times without a
response in 'x' number of days, then the forum is fair game.
Set the rules Richard. |

Kurt,
Please take forum
administration/suggestions messages private.
I know it can
be frustrating, but forum administration and rules development is
simply not a public topic.

Brewhawk, thank you for making my point. While I wouldn’t
go as far as calling myself a sycophant, I do think being polite and
supportive is a more enjoyable way of going about my business
than…...well, than other ways. You’re not too far off base calling
me an idiot; I DO go through life in a Forest Gump-like-haze. Think
about it, I just bough a 500 pound mosaic grill that would look more
at home in the Guggenheim than on my back deck, I ain’t right. |

Richard,
Sorry I opened that can of worms. As you
request, I will use E-mail in the future for customer service
questions.
However, there was still one post that didn't
have anything to do with customer service. It was a 2 year update on
my kamado's condition. I went on to state how I loved it and some
items that happened to it with use, nothing really bad, that too was
removed. I did think that wasn't too cool.
In any case. Have
a nice day.
P.S. You're welcome to remove this post from the
web with my blessing, as it is currently way out of control.

Richard--what steps am I , as well as many others
supposed to take if we cannot get our order shipped or service
issues resolved? If we get ignored or misled, what can be done? Many
of the "powers that be" of this site are your friends, and obviously
get what they need, when they need. These are the ones deleting our
messages(tons of mine alone) that we need something. Being the grand
poobah of this site does not mean you can treat customers badly. I
am sure there are legal experts that linger here that know the
rights we as consumers have.
I simply want to know the
secret, as I definitely do not know it now. |
