I have it from a reliable source that there was "human contact" with Ensenada on Wednesday (yesterday). :-) I'm sure they're just swamped with filling orders. Have you read how many of us "new and waiting" people there are? Not to mention the numbers who are drooling over the new fuel container that's due in. And there are so few people there at the factory, and even fewer in the office itself. Talk about Israelites making bricks without straw! Goodness!

Think of it this way. It's about 2 weeks 'til Christmas, and Santa and all the subordinate clauses are working fingers to the bone to get the stockings filled and the sleigh loaded. Even Rudolph's nose is probably to the grindstone!

In my admittedly limited experience, a K-human will eventually respond to a polite email or phone message. Might not be "right now," but it will be within a reasonable time. Of course, YMMV, as might your definition of "reasonable." :-)

I called once last Wednesday. 3 rings then Laura (who is always so sweet) answered the phone and took my order. I must be special. ;-)

I sent an e-mail to sales@kamado.com and asked them to call me. Within 1/2 hour Laura called me and took my order and answered all of my questions. She is very very nice and helpful!

I ordered a few weeks ago. I sent an e-mail with my wish list and received an e-mail back in about 4 hours. The next day I called just before 5 pm, the phone was answered after about 3 rings, and the transaction was completed. It was far less painful (actually completely painless) than I was led to believe.

Wow I find this hard to believe.

I have literally called 50 plus of times.
And have sent several emails and left many voice messages.
I was starting to think that some emergency or something has happened down there.
Now I am being told that other people are getting through in 3 rings?
It means that my emails and voice messages are just being ignored???
I am a pretty patient person...but I was actually starting to think that they must have had some major problem...because there could be no other reason why I would not get a response?

Now I am more confused to hear people are getting such quick response???

Amg13, like you I find it "hard to believe". 50 PLUS times! WOW! Now that IS A RECORD, even for us. I just emailed Kim for her explanation and our girls for the telephone records. I sincerely want to get to the bottom of this. If we are wrong, we certainly want to correct it as best we can. If you called 50 plus time and left many voice messages, I want to check these records carefully to see exactly when you called and all our email messages and why they were not answered. Frankly, I don't believe it for a second, but you can be assured I will find out. If I find out you are right, you will receive an apology from all of us. If you are wrong in this accusation, please post elsewhere. Is that a deal?

The Kamado team needs to take some classes on how to treat their customers. Calling them a liar, and then telling them when you've proven that they lied you want them off of your forum...that's just not the coolest way to win friends and influence people.

Hi everyone,

I'm Donna from Chicago. I have been a "lurker" on this board for about 6 months. In that time, I have reviewed other websites, boards, and all different kinds of grills.

I finally decided to order 3 weeks ago and have spoken to Kamado people a few times over the last few weeks. Each time I called my call was answered promptly. There was one time I left a voicemail but I got a call back within a few hours and I thought that was perfectly acceptable.

Anyway, this is my 100% honest feedback. Take it or leave it. I am not connected to any grill company (Kamado or otherwise) and am just a regular user that did research and placed an order.

I guess I finally decided to post since I feel that ever since a few people on this thread joined the forum there is alot of negativity that I haven't seen in the past. This is very unfortunate when people from competitors post negative information just for the sake of posting negative information. Curly, Toothless_bob, and Amg13 seem like they are all from the same competitor. Just my 2 cents but weird that they can't find better things to do with their time - like actually grill. I know I'm looking forward to it. :-)

Take care everyone,
Donna

There is no finer company in the world than Richard Johnson's "Kamado Corp."

You will never find anyone more forthcoming, honest, fair and responsive to customer needs than this salt of the earth.

I ordered my #9 the first week of May. Before that I pestered Kim with probably a hundred e-mails back and forth as I went through the decision process. Always got prompt and friendly responses. I called her earlier this week to make a minor modification to my order. She picked right up. She still hasn't received word from the factory on the status of my order but I'm sure it's in the works (I did order a "non-standard" color - Coconut Brown). Anyway, just wanted to voice a report of good service to balance the conflicting reports.

I am getting anxious though - can't wait for that first cook... and the next... and the next...
